Bodhrán,/ ˈbaʊrɑːn / - Irish hoop drum, the sound of which is produced by tapping with a double-sided wand called a cipín or tipper. Traditionally, it consisted of a wooden body and a goatskin membrane, although today it is often made of synthetic materials. The diameter of a bodhrán can range from 25 to 65 centimeters, although it is usually around 45 centimeters. The depth of the bodhrán varies between 7 and 13 centimeters. Very popular in Celtic music.
